Dreams Come True

You can push fight and tug everything out of your arsenal to compete with some of the top people in your career/field of study but all that will do is send you back to the drawing block frustrated, exhausted and pretty much silly looking! You can spend life comparing others accomplishments with your own, or you can start to set your own goals and set up a plan to achieve them! Instead of watching every single move of that person you admire so much, start focusing in on what it is that you can do to improve your craft! If you find yourself latching on to the next hottest thing out, or changing up what it is that you want to do in life every other day.... It's time you sit down and not only face reality, but introduce yourself to her! "Hi! Im so and so! And I want to be successful, here is how I plan to achieve it!" When I was a sophomore in college, I got my first real dose of reality/independence! I was told no for the first time, and that I had to go out and get things on my own! It took a few years to get myself on track, and so I definitely know it isnt easy, but you have to start somewhere! I remembered back to when i was a freshmen in high school when I started filming at my church on Sunday because they were short one person! I picked up the camera, and cant remember since when I put it down! Today, years later, I am a news director at a Channel 12 News, an editor and animator at one of Connecticut's largest public access stations, and an owner and director of my own production company! Dreams do come true, but most importantly prayers do get answered! Lauren

Whats In Store For You All

For the past few months I've been off the radar, and under some books.... Yes that's right books! I've been working on what better ways LAS Directions can bring you guys some.new things you've never seen before! Ideas are constantly flowing, and the fingers are constantly typing... We even had or lead Director get in the class room and learn some new techniques on how to make the visuals and pieces we put together for our viewing audience pop! We are excited to step our game up and get ready for a summer like no other! With new equipment in our fleet, and a few extra creative minds, we plan on giving you nothing but the best! ;-)

Instagram on the Droid

From happy perky #droid tweets and posts to evil hard #iphone tweets and posts, everybody who is up on technology knew that Instagram was released on android phones yesterday! I for one, am a very happy newbie to instagram and so far am pretty impressed with the program! From pics of my dog, flycam nano, neighborhood to the kangaroo that we had as a guest on our pet show... I am able to capture high quality pictures, and simultaneously share the pictures with my twitter followers and facebook friends! Pretty #awesomehuh ;-) Follow Me! @lasdirections

While Valentines day occurs only once a year for most people, couples that are madly in love celebrate Valentines Day every single day.

This lovely couple got their cute cuddle on in front of the camera, and really just made my life as a photographer that much easier with the love they both shared with the camera just as much as they did for one another... i might even say the camera got a little jealous! ;-) Check out the pictures and the slideshow of the fun filled shoot below!

2012 Grammys

The 2012 Grammy's were a mix of emotions. Smiles, laughs, joy and pain... The performances were as amazing as the stars outfits. Adele stepped on the scene and swept the awards away, taking on a new role in the music scene. And yet a big inspiration left the scene so abruptly no one saw it coming! Whitney Houston, a timeless legend and inspiration whose talent reached across ages, races and nations, sadly left us yesterday afternoon. Whitney,  will be remembered as a caring and talented person filled with the devoted love she always sang about! Jennifer Hudson truly did her justice in her tribute!

RIP Whitney Houston

Sitting in a German restaurant called the Brewhouse(still here), I get a text from my best friend that her favorite artist Whitney Houston just died! I don't know how my mind registered it so quickly, but it did and I'm almost afraid to go out to the car and turn on the radio to here her beautiful voice give another one of my senses the realization that she was truly one of a kind..... Gone but will never be forgotten, another legend gone... Whitney you will be missed and your life here touched so many lives! God bless you, may you rest in peace! I love you, your fans love you!
